At the end of the road to Franceschi Park, the former residence of horticulturist Francesco Franceschi, is a quiet clearing at the top of a hill that overlooks Santa Barbara. Opposite to the view of Santa Barbara, in contrast to the urban landscape, is the undulating green of the Santa Ynez Mountains.
